Café Of The Lost Dreams (And The New Horizons) Out on the road caught in the rain Soaked to the bone, my dreams down the drain To all the passers-by I must have been a sore sight Out in the void caught in the dark Looking around for some kind of spark In the distance suddenly there was a faint light   Stepping closer I saw some kind of bar A warm light from within, it didn’t seem far Somebody came outside and held out a hand A woman looking at me, I felt no fear Like under a spell, I drew near She had kind eyes that seemed to understand   “Come on in” she said, “and have a seat Sit by the fire and warm your feet You might want a bite to eat Are you in for a special treat?   “Have A coffee of hope that’ll make you smile A chocolate of faith that’ll last for a while A biscuit of strength that’ll make you go one more mile A cake of luck to make it all worthwhile Your misery is not as bad as it seems You know, life is full of surprises Welcome to the café of the lost dreams And the new horizons.” There was a spark and a twinkle in her eye Some kind of magic I couldn’t define Was she a witch, or maybe an angel? I sipped my coffee and tasted the food I felt my spirits and an uplifting mood Was this a fairy place out of a fable?   Reluctantly I stepped outside Surprisingly, my clothes had dried The air was soft and warm, and I had a clear view There were roads I hadn’t seen before A signpost pointing towards a new shore The sea was rough but I was going to make my way through   I knew out of the sudden storms could appear They would make it hard to steer Yet the woman’s presence is always near Her voice echoing in my ear   “Have A coffee of hope that’ll make you smile A chocolate of faith that’ll last for a while A biscuit of strength that’ll make you go one more mile A cake of luck to make it all worthwhile  Your misery is not as bad as it seems You know, life is full of surprises Welcome to the café of the lost dreams And the new horizons.” "Your misery is not as bad as it seems You know, life is often surprising In the end we all meet in the café of the lost dreams And the new horizons"

Most Of All I Need You There are those days when I need chocolate This sweet combination of sugar and fat Really, there's nothing like it When my inner world has gone mad On other days I need salted caramel To sweeten my spirits, to brighten my days Really, there's nothing comparable When I can't find out of this maze After I've eaten, I feel like in heaven I'm finally at peace with the world But this feeling doesn't last long When I realize what is wrong Not one bite of chocolate will do When most of all I need you When most of all I need you Let's not forget the days I need ice cream Walnut with maple syrup on top I need to lose myself in this nice dream When the rain in my head just won't stop After I've eaten, I feel like in heaven I'm finally at peace with the world But this feeling doesn't last long When I realize what is wrong Not one spoon of ice cream will do When all I can think of is you When all I can think of is you Not one bite of chocolate will do When most of all I need you When most of all I need you

about

On this single I present two songs, Café Of The Lost Dreams (And The New Horizons) and Most Of All I Need You.

The first was written in 2015 when I felt lost and imagined a place that would give me strength. And yes, I do find comfort in food. So I came up with the Café Of The Lost Dreams (And The New Horizons) that had a special menu: A coffee of hope, a chocolate of faith, a biscuit of strength, and a cake of luck.

The second song was written in 2022 and was just meant to be a fun song, again about finding comfort in food.

So these two songs belong together!

Both songs were mixed and mastered by Brady Jo.
